My Story
My name is Skye, and animals have been at the heart of my life since childhood. From my earliest years I have had a deep and instinctive connection with dogs - understanding them, caring for them and advocating for their wellbeing has always felt completely natural to me. That connection led me to spend many years fostering and rehabilitating rescue dogs, and growing up in a rural setting gave me hands-on experience with sheep, goats, pigs and ponies that deepened my understanding of animal behaviour and welfare in ways that have never left me.
That passion led me to train as a professional dog groomer and establish my own successful holistic grooming business, working with most breeds to show standard - including dogs competing at Crufts. Over time my philosophy deepened further through training in animal aromatherapy, canine nutrition and canine behaviour, and my commitment to natural, chemical-free living became the foundation of everything I do.
Alongside my love of animals has always been an equally deep love of travel, and when the opportunity came to combine my passion for animals with the freedom of the open road, the decision was an easy one. As an EU citizen, I have full freedom of movement to live and work across Europe - so rather than one destination, the road itself has become home.
Today I travel across Europe with my two Spaniels, Lily and Grace, bringing everything I have learned to every pet and family I have the privilege of caring for. When you choose Skye & Paws you are not simply hiring a pet sitter - you are welcoming someone who has devoted their life to the love, understanding and wellbeing of dogs.
Life On The Road
The decision to trade a fixed address for the freedom of the open road with Lily, Grace and my husband was one that changed everything - and it remains the best decision we have ever made.
After years of running a busy grooming business I wanted to take everything I had learned - the expertise, the holistic philosophy, the deep love of dogs - and offer it in a way that felt more personal, more flexible and more true to who I am. The motorhome made that possible. It gave me the freedom to go where I was needed, to work on my own terms and to wake up every morning doing something I genuinely love.
After travelling extensively across the UK, we set off across Europe, and we now travel wherever the road takes us, bringing professional holistic pet care and grooming services to clients along the way. Every new region brings a new backdrop, new landscapes and new communities to meet - and it is a life we would not change for anything.
My husband travels with me and together we have built a life that revolves entirely around the things we love most - the open road, the great outdoors and the wonderful dogs I have the privilege of caring for. While I stay at the home of the pets in my care, my husband is always close by in the motorhome looking after Lily and Grace. It is an arrangement that works beautifully - your pet has my full and undivided attention and companionship, while Lily and Grace are happy, settled and well cared for just outside.
This is not just a way of working. It is a way of living - and every pet I care for along the way is a reminder of exactly why I chose it.
Meet Lily & Grace
Lily and Grace are my two beautiful Spaniels and the beating heart of Skye & Paws. Fully trained, exceptionally well-behaved and endlessly gentle, they travel everywhere with me and are very much part of the life I have built on the road.
Whilst I stay at your home giving your pet my full and undivided attention, Lily and Grace remain in the motorhome with my husband throughout the sit. This means your pet always has me completely focused on their needs, without any distraction or competition for attention. It also means there is no pressure on your dog to share their space or their home with unfamiliar animals.
I am always completely transparent about Lily and Grace travelling with us, I am happy to arrange a meet and greet, in person where possible or via video call for clients further afield so that everyone can get acquainted in a relaxed and comfortable setting before any commitment is made. Some dogs are curious and take to them immediately - others prefer their own space entirely, and that is absolutely fine too. Every dog is different and I will always follow your pet's lead.
If for any reason you would prefer Lily and Grace to remain completely out of the picture during your sit, please do not hesitate to say so. Your pet's comfort and wellbeing always comes first - without exception.

I am a qualified dog groomer and owned a successful holistic grooming business. I have groomed dogs of most breeds, including dogs competing at Crufts. Whatever your dog's breed, coat type or temperament, they are in experienced and capable hands.

Caring for elderly dogs and those with health conditions requires patience, experience and genuine compassion. I have extensive experience in this area and am completely comfortable managing medication, mobility challenges and the additional needs that come with age or illness.

Your pet stays in their own home, in their own familiar surroundings, with their own routine completely intact. No kennels, no strange environments and no unnecessary stress. As a fully mobile service, I travel to locations along my route across Europe - simply get in touch to check whether your area is part of my upcoming travels, and I will do the rest.

For every sit I stay at your home with your pet, giving them constant companionship and care day and night. My husband is always close by, staying in our motorhome on site with Lily and Grace throughout. If you would prefer I stay in the motorhome and come inside each morning to tend to your pet, I am completely happy to arrange that instead - every booking is tailored to what works best for you and your pet. Just let me know your preference when we speak.

I hold a current dog first aid certification, meaning I am fully equipped to respond calmly and effectively in an emergency situation. From assessing an injured dog to administering basic first aid whilst veterinary help is sought, your pet's safety in an unexpected situation is always in capable hands.

I have lived and worked chemical-free for many years - it is not a trend or a marketing message, it is simply the way I choose to live. That commitment extends naturally to every animal in my care. I use only the finest natural grooming products, carefully chosen for their gentle, holistic credentials and their kindness to your dog's skin, coat and overall wellbeing.
